MEET OUR CO-FOUNDERS

  • Rakaya Fetuga

Co-Founder | Poet & Published Fiction Writer | Events Producer

Hello, I’m Rakaya. I write for the love of words and the way they capture moments to remember for years to come. For the past 6 years I’ve been leading writing and performance workshops for people from all walks of life, from hospital staff, law barristers, refugee community groups and thousands of school students every year, using a fervour for the written and spoken word to inspire creativity and confidence in unlikely storytellers and poets who didn’t know it.

As well as receiving writing awards from the likes of the New York TV & Film Festival, Royal Holloway University of London and the Roundhouse Poetry Slam, my younger brother confirmed that I am “actually, pretty good”. When I am not working on my own poetry, fiction and theatre projects, I write for organisations and brands which have included Cartier, the UN and L'Occitane.

I find joy in creating spaces of inspiration, connection and community and have hosted the Rumi's Cave Open Mic since 2020. Travel is a great love of mine, and a great teacher, where I’ve learned about myself, the world and made friends for life.

  • Basirah Raheem

Co Founder | Published Author | Poet & Screen Play Writer | Creative Educational Consultant

Beloved souls, I am Basirah Raheem, though many know me as Boshia Raejean. My heart beats in rhythm with the whispered wisdom of words and the vibrant embrace of nature.

My poetry collection, "The Dissolving Cloud," is a tender unfolding of my own spiritual odyssey  a journey homeward to love, guided by the gentle currents of "The Dissolving Method." This isn't just about putting pen to paper; it's about weaving the very act of writing into the fabric of soul-love, divine connection with God, and the grounding energy of nature.

Through The Dissolving Method Writers Salon, I hold sacred space for fellow word-weavers. Here, I guide you to "dissolve in love with your soul," to shed the layers that obscure your authentic expression, and to uncover the resonant frequency of your true voice. My workshops are invitations to dive deep into the wellspring of soul-love and to attune to the exquisite beauty of the natural world, allowing both to illuminate and deepen your spiritual path.

I've been blessed to share this sacred work in creative collaborations with kindred spirits at Warby Parker, BET, Parsons New School, the UN, and with beloved brands like Adidas, Nike, and TONYMOLY. Every endeavor is an affirmation of my deepest conviction: that through the act of writing, we can reveal the infinite, boundless essence that resides within every single one of us.

Soumaya Clotaire

Hi, I’m Soumaya, a poet and writer based in South London. My work is deeply inspired by my spiritual journey and my writing is shaped by themes of identity, travel, and spirituality, with a particular focus on the profound connection between humanity and the Divine.

Over the years, I've had the honor of sharing my poems with diverse audiences—whether through live readings for the likes of Friends of Al AQSA and SOAS University, or reaching the hearts of listeners across the globe through virtual platforms.

In 2022, I published my first “mini” collection of poetry. I’m thrilled to be breathing new life into even more creative writing projects. With every verse, I’m embracing the new, the unknown, and the beautifully transformative.

But really, I'm just happy to be here, connecting with such creative souls. Excited to share, learn and grow together!

Dr. Rawan Hassan

Psychologist | Yoga Teacher | Culture and Wellness Strategist

Hello, I’m Rawan a psychologist, yoga teacher, culture and wellness strategist and speaker. I live at the intersection of science and spirit, guiding people toward the kind of change that begins within and radiates outward.

For over a decade, I’ve worked across cultures and continents leading psychosocial interventions with the UN and reimagining wellness cultures inside Fortune 500 companies transforming how individuals and organisations reconnect to their bodies, their values and their inner power.

Deeply attuned to the kaleidoscope of human experience, my approach blends somatics, breathwork, trauma-informed care and ancestral wisdom to support nervous system balance and soul-deep integration. I believe wellness isn’t a luxury or a trend but a radical act of remembering a return to who we are beneath the noise, the pressure and the stories that were never ours to carry.

The journey inward isn’t always easy but it’s some of the bravest work we’ll ever do. Through breath, art, movement or stillness, I hold space for those ready to meet themselves fully. Shadow and light. Grief and joy. And the quiet strength that’s been there all along.
